Carrot or Whip

Students: Andrew Stock, Martin Malthe Borch  ·  Year: 2012  ·  Course: Physical Computing

A horse race game for two teams of two players.

When the starting light goes off the race begins: each 'horse' gallops as fast as he or she can, while the 'jockeys' choose between a carrot or a whip to motivate their respective horse to go faster. The first team to cross the finish line wins.

The game is programmed and made with an Arduino. The tin-foil horse shoes functions as a simple switches, and the number of steps are counted and displayed by a chain of red LEDs. Each LED represents 20 steps. The first one to reach the green LED wins!
