Climate Change Generation Comparison

Student: MICOL GALEOTTI  ·  Year: 2018  ·  Course: Data Visualisation

The more our world develops the more our lives rely on energy.  The more energy we consume, the more energy we need to produce which creates a vicious cycle that, if we do not start being mindful of, might eventually ruin us instead of make our life easier.

Global warming is the greatest example of how our actions are affecting the world we live in, but for many people it is hard to understand that climate change is already happening and the rate at which it is happening. Climate Change Generation Comparison is a data visualization project, inspired by Riccardo Reitano’s article “Il clima di mia figlia e il mio”, and aims to bring this phenomenon to a personal level to make it easier to understand. Climate change indicator values are sourced from 1950 up to 2015, allowing the comparison of up to four generations.
