Year: 2017  ·  Course: Rapid Prototyping - Iteration

Every social media manager appreciates how difficult it is to document live events; navigating the physical space in a noisy environment, taking photos of guests and tracking their names and social media handles as you capture them.

“Connected” is an app that allows you take a photo of someone and then sends that photo to the cloud, where it is mapped against a photo database for that event where people have connected their social profiles and a profile photo. People at the event opt into the service, in advance, thus retaining full control over their privacy and the information that may be published alongside their image.

The app, with some imagination and fairy dust, allows you to record and auto-transcribe the conversation and package the multimedia elements so they can be easily shared across social channels.

Two “rapid prototypes” were created during this course, through Sketch, Marvel and the character-building software Origami, developed by Facebook.
