The World Drug Report states that up to 100.000 people suffered a fatal overdose in 2014, most of them being unintentional. A lot of these deaths result from the fact that users often don’t have a way to clearly identify their drugs.

Preventing drug usage is a difficult task that society has struggled with for decades. Giving access to identification methods to prevent easily avoidable fatalities doesn’t have to be difficult.

E-Base is an App/Database that helps drug users identify their pills and minimise the risk of overdoses by providing a large database of drugs currently on the market. The app features a scanning function, images, chemical data as well as safety information. The prototype was build in Flinto.
