Human Harp: The Matrix
During the performative design course we were a part of a traveling research project called the Human Harp. We created a holster and fastening mechanism for dancers to wear during a performance.
The dancers are attached to strings which generates sounds based on their movements. Through an iterative process of body centric design and material studies we came up with a magnet system that would act as interchangeable target points. It served as a dynamic system where the dancer was free to explore the various combinations and expressions.
