Immersive Experiences
This workshop will introduce one of the most used techniques to create an Immersive Experience, the projection mapping, and how to make people interact with it.

Location: CIID Studio, San Jose, Costa Rica.
What is this workshop?
This workshop focuses on projection mapping as a tool to create immersive experiences, participants will be first introduced to the fundamentals of projection mapping and the tools used in the industry sector and then to different techniques to make projections react to external input and make them interactive.
What will you learn?
The basics of Projection Mapping for multi-surface installations.
To use and create interactive visualizations within the projections.
To explore and use basic electronics as input devices for the installations.
How will you learn it?
By the replication and creation of different projection mapping exercises, where the participant will gradually incorporate different levels of interactivity, and finally designing and showcasing their own installation.
Is this for you?
Basic knowledge of programming is required (especially in creative coding frameworks like Processing, p5js, Arduino). Knowledge of electronics would be helpful but not necessary.
What do you need to bring to the workshop?
You only need your laptop, preferably with a dedicated graphic card and updated web browsers (ideally, Google Chrome)
