Loci provides an open library and toolkit to communicate the feeling of another place in an immersive and exploratory way. Normally, when describing the feeling of a place, visual stimuli is used and is easily accessible. Loci provides an easy-to-use toolkit to assemble 3 dimensional sound atmospheres. Users can explore soundscapes, upload sounds to the library and explore what other people have created. The compositions can be documentary in nature, pure fantasy or used on a large scale as urban sonic interventions.
