Progressions 101

Student: Saurabh Datta  ·  Year: 2014  ·  Course: Introduction to Programming

A new set of conventional logic used to create unconventional pieces.

Processing introduced coding as material to us. Some of my pieces during the course were based on a question of "How low we can go?" or how less/easy can it be to create and understand beauty of logic and complexity?

We were asked to get inspiration from our surrounding to create surreal simulations so I derived my inspiration from a delicate practice - weaving for textiles. Made by humans with a few tools, by following a same pattern over and over in sync, minute aesthetic changes begin to show.

Through creative coding my efforts were to simulate those attributes in practice.
