Prompt.ly - supporting children to express and fulfill their sex-ed and wellbeing needs
Changes, doubts and insecurities around their bodies, relationships and emotions, are present in every child growing into a teenager. In Latin America, taboos and social stigma create fear demotivating adults, both teachers and parents, to properly address these doubts. As a consequence, children keep their doubts to themselves and might get into risk scenarios by trying to find answers in the internet. These topics are all included under the concept of comprehensive sex education which is directly linked to children’s wellbeing.
Prompt.ly provides a service for schools to support kids between the ages of 8 and 11 years old to express and fulfill their needs around the topics of comprehensive sex education and wellbeing. A device is used to prompt children on a daily basis as part of their morning routine to enable data collection. This data serves as input of an online ecosystem where parents and teachers can comprehend better children’s current needs and get the tools to act accordingly and hence, fulfill them.
This projects addresses the third and fourth UN SDGs - good health and wellbeing and quality education.
