Do you ever think about recycling while shopping? Do you know which products cause less impact to the environment?

ReShop is a mobile app that uses Augmented Reality to guide consumers so they can shop in a sustainable way. ReShop will allow you to scan the product you want to buy and show you recycle information about the material of the package.

Another useful feature is the “Recycle Scanner”. By using computer vision to blur product packages in the grocery store, ReShop recommends the user products and packages that are sustainable and steers shoppers toward buying products in packaging that’s better for the environment.

The product is inspired by Responsible Consumption and Production, the 12th Sustainable Development Goal from United Nations. These SDG is based on the idea of creating better patterns on consumers in terms of waste, sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources.

ReShop also allows users to share in social media their “Green Shopping” so they can contribute to spread the message and create consciousness around recycling and shopping in a sustainable way.
