More than 80% of the world’s population owns a mobile phone. Texting is growing in popularity as the main form of communication, yet few people understand how the technology works. As we continue towards more integrated technologies, we face the potential consequence of rendering ourselves at the will of companies that design them. This installation reveals the process and vulnerabilities of text messaging, by making immaterial network operations physical and tangible so people can understand how a simple text can be manipulated in several ways.
