UFO - Unidentified Fun Objects
The aliens visited earth and upon seeing the chaotic, sad and always at home state of the “adult human species (AHS)” they left behind 3 objects. Tumble, Wobble and Blobble, These unidentified fun objects help people take a break, play, and just have fun.
The aliens crafted them to suit the different energy levels of the AHS, that they observed during their time on earth and when and how they need to take a break and just have fun.
Tumble is a high energy and highly annoying fun object, this one misses its real home and wants to go back, so it keeps throwing blocks towards the window and the AHS have to get up, come towards the window, pick up the blocks and put them back for Tumble to stop yelling. In its play mode, it allows the AHS to challenge themselves on how fast they can pick up the blocks, helping them move physically, take a breath of fresh air and make them agile.
Wobble was inspired when the aliens interacted with a cat during their time here on earth. They were fascinated and inspired by the sassy and IDGAF attitude of the mighty creature. Wobble starts to wobble while sitting at your table, as you go to hold it / touch it / play with it, it stops … and you have to manually wobble it. But if it hears you speaking to someone else at home, it gets SUPER jealous and wobbles like there is no tomorrow to get your attention till you go pet it. Wobble does miss home too, but not as much as Tumble.
Blobble is the only one who has integrated itself into the human world, it was created to distress and play some light games with AHS. Blobble is a malleable soft toy that changes shape as the AHS play with it. In its play mode it vibrates a song pattern that the AHS have to guess (the aliens saw how much humans love game shows, so why not) when you guess the right song, Blobble rewards you by vibrating in a breathing pattern which has proven to calm down the AHS around the earth. Blobble is also the one the humans go to for fiddling and exercising their hands throughout the day.
The UFO are connected to each other and they try to get your attention throughout the day and compete for your attention too if they think the AHS are only playing with one of them.

The goal of my final project was to explore play for adults, and how play can become your buddy (almost personifying play) when you need that well deserved break from the mundane WFH scenario today. The 3 objects explore various energy levels and what play means to adults, from the research there was no one thing of how adults prefer to play. What was important was that they have the options and the agency to play when they want and what they want.
UFO - Unidentified Fun Objects is an exploration on play/fun for adults within their homes. The three fun objects Tumble, Wobble and Bobble are connected to each other to demand attention or remind you to take a break, play or just take some time off to relax.
